Women's Golf Competes In Day One At Big South Championship

NINETY SIX, S.C. – The Holy Cross women's golf team stands in ninth place after day one of the three-day Big South Conference Championship, which is being held at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The Crusaders finished the day with a total of 395 strokes. Campbell currently leads the event with 294 strokes after day one.

Senior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) led the Crusaders with a round of 88, shooting par on five holes. She sits in 45th place. Freshman Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) follows Deluca with a round of 91, birdying the fourth hole. She stands in a tie for 46th. Junior Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) is in 48th after day one while seniors Lauren McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) and Melissa Magill (Staten Island, N.Y.) round out the team's action, finishing today in 49th and 50th place respectively. Campbell's Michelle Koh is on top of the individual leader board after day one, marking a 71 in the first round.

The Big South Championship continues on Tuesday morning, with tee times set for 8:00 a.m. and will conclude on Wednesday, April 11.
