Women's Golf Finishes Thirteenth At ECAC Championship

EGG HARBOR, N.J. The Holy Cross women's golf team placed 13th out of 14 teams with a total two-day score of 726 at the 2011 ECAC Championship, held at the Twisted Dune Golf Club. Freshman Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the Crusaders for the third-straight event and shot a two-day score 168, tying for 33rd. Carly Bergin of Sacred Heart won the individual title with a 148.

Senior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) followed Powers with a 174 and tied for 46th. Freshman Tara Buchanan (Haymarket, Va.) scored a two-round score of 187while junior Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) rounded out the team's performances with a score of 197. Dartmouth won the team title with 611 total strokes.

The Crusaders return to action on Oct. 23-24 when they compete in the Sacred Heart Fall Classic. The tournament will be held at the Great River Golf Course in Milford, Conn.
