Women's Golf Set For Strong Showing ECAC Championship

Scoreboard: 10th of 15 at Mount Holyoke Invitational, South Hadley, Mass. 9/24-25
Schedule: Sunday-Monday, Oct. 2-3 at the ECAC Championship, Egg Harbor, N.J., All Day

  • The Holy Cross women's golf team continues fall action with the ECAC Championship, held at the Twisted Dune Golf Club in Egg Harbor, N.J. on Oct. 2-3. Tee time will be at 9:00 a.m. both days.
  • The Crusaders finished 11th of 14 squads at the 2010 ECAC Championship and were led by former Crusader Meghan Doherty's 23rd place finish. Junior Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) scored a 130 for 30th place while senior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn) scored a 133. Former Crusader Kerrin O'Leary also played in the match and scored a 141.
  • This past weekend, freshman Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the team for a second straight event. This is the first time a freshman has led the team in two straight events since Meghan Doherty in 2007. 
  • Deluca shot a career low at the Mount Holyoke Invitational with a score of 167and tied for 23rd place. Her lowest round from last season was a 172 at Mount Holyoke on Sept. 25-26, 2010.
