Women's Golf Takes Tenth Place At Mount Holyoke Invitational
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's golf team placed 10th out of 15 teams with a total two-day score of 695 at the Mount Holyoke Invitational at the Orchards Golf Club. Freshman Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the Crusaders for the second-straight event after shooting a 164, including a team-low round of 77 and tying for 17th. Flora Weeks of Middlebury won the championship with a 148.
Senior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) followed Powers with a 167 and had a career-low round of 78 tying as she tied for 23rd. Freshman Tara Buchanan (Haymarket, Va.) played for the first time in her collegiate career and finished with a 177, tying for 45th. Sophomore Mary Beckerman (Avon, Conn.) and junior Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) rounded out the team's performances with scores of 187 and 195 respectively. Williams won the team title with 634 total strokes.
The Crusaders return to action when they compete at the ECAC Championship on Oct. 2-3 at the Twisted Dune Golf Club in Egg Harbor, N.J.
