HANOVER, N.H. – The Holy Cross women's golf team placed 11th out of 12 teams with a total two-day score of 741 at the Dartmouth Invitational at the Hanover Country Club. Freshman Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the Crusaders in her collegiate debut after shooting a 173 and tying for 34th. Sarah Sideranko of Hartford won the championship with a 149.
Senior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) recorded the second best performance for Holy Cross with a 175, tying for 39th. Sophomore Mary Beckerman (Avon, Conn.) also made her collegiate debut at the tournament and finished 52nd with a 193. Deluca and Powers tied for the lowest rounds on the team, both shooting 87. Host Dartmouth won the team title with 629 total strokes.
The Crusaders return to action when they compete at the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Sept. 24-25 at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass.
