Women's Golf Wraps Up Day Two Action At Big South Championship

NINETY SIX, S.C. – The Holy Cross women's golf team stands in eighth place after day two of the three-day Big South Conference Championship, which is being held at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The Crusaders finished the first two days of competition with a total of 709 strokes. Coastal Carolina currently leads the event with 613 strokes after two rounds.

Senior Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) continues to lead the Crusaders with a two-round score of 166 after marking another 83 in round two. She is currently in 34th place. Junior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) finishes as the second best performer for the Crusaders with a two-round score of 173, marking a 90 on the second day. She is currently in a tie for 38th. Senior Johanna Gavin (Hackettstown, N.J.) is in 40th place, while senior Kerrin O'Leary (Milton, Mass.) is 42nd and sophomore Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) is 43rd. Gardner Webb's Hannah Hellyer took over the top individual spot, marking a 149 in the first two rounds.

The Big South Championship concludes tomorrow, April 13.
