Women's Golf Competes In Day One Of Big South Championship
NINETY SIX, S.C. – The Holy Cross women's golf team stands in eighth place after day one of the three-day Big South Conference Championship, which is being held at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The Crusaders finished the day with a total of 354 strokes. Coastal Carolina currently leads the event with 301 strokes after day one.
Junior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) and senior Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) both scored rounds of 83, with Doherty birdying the first hole. They sit in a tie for 33rd. Senior Johanna Gavin (Hackettstown, N.J.) stands in 41st place with a round of 92, while senior Kerrin O'Leary (Milton, Mass.) is 42nd and sophomore Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) is 44th. Coastal Carolina's Brittany Henderson is on top of the leader board after day one, marking a 74 in the first round.
The Big South Championship continues on Tuesday morning, with tee times set for 8:00 a.m. and will conclude on Wednesday, April 13.
