  • The Holy Cross women's golf team takes the next four weeks to practice and prepare for the 2011 Big South Championship, held April 11-13. The Crusaders aim to better their eighth place finish at last year's tournament. Tee time is to be determined, as the championship will be held at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, N.C.
  • Holy Cross competed against Pfeiffer in a dual-match on March 9, playing at the Tot Hill Farm Golf Club in Asheboro, N.C. The course is rated as the No. 7 most difficult course in America, according to Golf Digest annual rankings. The squad finished 14 strokes behind the Falcons as senior Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) paced the squad with an 86.
  • Doherty has now led the squad in every event of the 2010-2011 season, also owning a team-low 83 strokes average. She has led the team in eight straight outings, dating back to the 2010 Jack Leaman Championship, held April 17-18, 2010. Doherty also led the Crusaders in every event during the 2008-2009 season and has been the team's top performer in 22 events since her freshman year.
