Women's Golf Announces Spring Schedule

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head women's golf coach Bob Molt have announced the Crusaders' 2011 spring slate. Holy Cross is currently scheduled to compete in four events.

The Crusaders will officially open the season at the Dana Rader Invitational, held March 7-8 at the Golf Club at Balantyne in Charlotte, N.C. The event is hosted by Pfeiffer University, as the team will then match up head-to-head with the Falcons on March 9. The Big South Championship follows from April 11-13 at the Patriot Golf Club in Greenwood, S.C. Holy Cross wraps up the 2011 spring slate at the Jack Leaman Invitational, set for April 16-17. The first day of action will be held at the Hickory Ridge Golf Club in Amherst, Mass., with the second day played at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass.

Senior Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) led all Holy Cross performers during the fall season, finishing first on the team in all four competitions. She enters the spring season with an 81.5 strokes average.
