MILFORD, Conn. – The Holy Cross women's golf team took 10th place at the 2010 Sacred Heart Fall Classic, held at the Great River Golf Course from Sunday through Monday. The Crusaders finished the competition with a total of 718 strokes as senior Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) led the team individually with a 20th place finish.
Doherty combined for 164 strokes, marking an 85 on Sunday and a 79 on Monday. Junior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) followed with a 180 while senior Johanna Gavin (Hackettstown, N.J.) came in third on the team with a 184. Rounding out the scores for Holy Cross was a 191 from senior Kerrin O'Leary (Milton, Mass.) and a 193 by sophomore Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.).
Yale won the invitational with 623 strokes and had three players finish within the top five individually. Bulldog Seo Hee Moon took home the individual title with 148 strokes.
The Crusaders have now completed the fall portion of their 2010-2011 schedule. The spring slate will be announced at a later date.
