Women's Golf Competes In Day One At Big South Championship
NINETY SIX, S.C. – The Holy Cross women's golf team stands in eighth place after day one of the three-day Big South Conference Championship, which is being held at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The Crusaders finished the day with a total of 344 strokes. Charleston Southern currently leads the event with 294 strokes after day one.
Sophomore Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) led the Crusaders with a round of 81, and is currently in a tie for 26th place. Junior Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) had the second-best round for the Crusaders with an 86 and birdied the No. 5 hole. She currently sits in a tie for 40th place. Junior Johanna Gavin (Hackettstown, N.J.) stands in 42nd place, while junior Kerrin O'Leary (Milton, Mass.) is 43rd and freshman Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) is 45th. Charleston Southern’s Olivia Higgins is on top of the leader board after day one, marking a 70 in the first round.
The Big South Championship continues on Tuesday morning, with tee times set for 8:00 a.m. and will conclude on Wednesday, April 14.
