- The Holy Cross women's golf team returns to action Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 17-18, at the Ann Batchelder Invitational in Wellesley, Mass. Tee time is set for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. This is the first time in over five seasons that the team has competed in this event. Wellesley College will play host to the event with four other teams participating.
- Junior Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) was the only member of the team who saw action in the past two weeks as she competed with four other members of the men's squad at the Nichols Invitational. Out of a field of 60 she tied for 53rd with a two-round score of 93. This was the first time in program history that a Holy Cross woman golf player teamed up with her male counterparts.
- Last season, Holy Cross averaged a 10th-place finish after its first two events. In 2007-2008, the Crusaders were averaging 6th place following their two opening competitions, buoyed by a second-place finish at that year's Mount Holyoke Invitational. So far this season, Holy Cross has averaged a 12th-place finish in its first two events.
- Holy Cross has one more match scheduled this fall. Following the Ann Batchelder Invitational, the Crusaders will compete at the Connecticut State Invitational Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 24-25, in New Britain, Conn.
