Three Field Hockey Players Selected to All-League Teams

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Three Holy Cross field hockey players were named to the All-Patriot League teams, as announced by conference officials today. Senior forward Kristin Schulz (Faifield, Conn.) and senior goalkeeper Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) were named to the All-League First Team. Junior Courtney Callahan (Worcester, Mass.) was named to the Second Team.

Schulz started all 18 games this season, leading the Crusaders in scoring with 10 goals and five assists for 25 points. She finished the year with 26 interceptions and 56 tackles. Schulz ends her career with 16 goals and nine assists for 41 points and 42 interceptions and 86 tackles. This is Schulz's first league award.

Singleton started all 18 games this year, finishing with a 7-11 record and posted two shutouts. Throughout the season, Singleton made a career-high 153 saves and recorded a .773 save percentage and a 3.12 goals against average. She closes out her career with a 28-29 record, 338 saves and a 2.19 goals against average. Singleton is tied for sixth at Holy Cross in career shutouts (eight). She is a two-time member of the All-Patriot League First Team and is a two-time Goalkeeper of the Year honoree.

Making 18 starts, Callahan finished ranked fourth on the team in scoring with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Callahan has recorded 10 goals and five assists for 25 points throughout her three seasons with the Crusaders. She tallied 46 interceptions and 82 tackles, bringing her current career totals to 93 interceptions and 112 tackles.

The Patriot League major award winners for Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year will be announced later in the week.

The Crusaders ended their season play at 7-11 and 2-3 in the Patriot League.
