Kristin Schulz Named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross senior forward Kristin Schulz (Fairfield, Conn.) has been named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week in field hockey, for competition from October 27-November 2. The Crusaders' posted a 2-1 record for the week after dropping a 3-2 game to Brown on Wednesday, Oct. 29 and defeating Bucknell 3-2 in double overtime on Saturday, Nov. 1 and Maine, 1-0, in the team's season finale on Sunday, Nov. 2. This is Schulz's first career Patriot League weekly honor.

Recording two goals and two assists for six points, Schulz picked up her first assist of the week versus Brown. She tallied an assist and the game-winning goal in Patriot League action against Bucknell. Schulz finished with the game-winner in the last game of the season against Maine. Schulz finishes the season leading the Crusaders in scoring with 10 goals and five assists for 25 points.

Holy Cross concluded the 2008 season with an overall record of 7-11 and 2-3 in the Patriot League.
