Three HC Field Hockey Players Selected to All-League Teams

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Three Holy Cross student-athletes were named to the Patriot League Field Hockey All-League teams, as announced by officials today. Senior defender Kim Powell (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and junior goalkeeper Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) were named to the All-League First Team. Senior forward Sara O'Coin (Worcester, Mass.) was named to the Second Team.

Powell played in every game this season, ranked second in interceptions (60) and tackles (55) tackles on the team, and leading the Crusaders with seven defensive saves. This season, she recorded two goals and three assists, marking her first career goal, assist, and game-winning goal. This is Powell's first league award.

Singleton started all 19 games this season, recording a 2.72 goals against average. She made 109 saves, with a save percentage of .752. She also recorded one shutout this season, bringing her career total to seven. Last year, Singleton was named to the First Team League and the Co-Goalkeeper of the Year.

Making 19 starts, O'Coin recorded three goals and led the team in assists with six, tying second in points on the team with 12. O'Coin made 29 shots on goal, recording a .744 shots on goal percentage. She was named to the First Team League last year.

The Crusaders ended their season play at 6-13 and 2-3 in the Patriot League.
