Field Hockey Travels To Colgate and Syracuse

The field hockey team plays a pair of road games this week, traveling to Patriot League opponent Colgate on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1:00 p.m. and then to Syracuse on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1:00 p.m.
Holy Cross went 0-2 this past weekend in two games played at the Hart Turf Field, falling to Lafayette, 1-0, in Patriot League action on Saturday, Oct. 11 and dropping a 2-1 overtime decision to Columbia on Sunday, Oct. 12.
Senior goalkeeper Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) was named the Patriot League Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Week, for competition from October 6-13, after stopping 30 of 34 shots she faced as the Crusaders posted a 1-2 record last week. Singleton made 30 saves this week including a career-high 14 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss to Columbia. She also tallied nine versus Lafayette and seven in Holy Cross' 2-1 overtime victory over Stanford on Monday, October 6. With 94 saves so far on the season, Singleton has a 2.72 goals against average and a .784 save percentage. Making all 12 starts, Singleton has a 4-8 record including one shutout.
Sophomore forward Kara Gonnerman (St. Louis, Mo.) scored the lone goal for the Crusaders against Columbia.
