Field Hockey Travels To Harvard

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross field hockey team returns to action this weekend under the lights in Harvard's season-opener on Friday, September 5 at Jordan Field. The Crusaders enter the game at 0-1-0, after falling to Fairfield, 3-0, on August 30. Harvard opens it's 2008 season with the Crusaders. In 2007, the Crimson finished with an overall record on 8-9-0 and went 4-3-0 in Ivy League play. The Crusaders return 14 players from last year's team and welcome five incoming freshmen.

  • Senior goalkeeper Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) had eight stops for Holy Cross against Fairfield in Saturday's contest.
  • Seniors Carolyn Connelly (Greenland, N.H.), Jessie Cullen (Norwich, Vt.), Kristin Schulz (Fairfield, Conn.) and Singleton are the 2008 team captains.
