Coletta and Powell Named to NFHCA Academic Squad

WORCESTER, Mass. - Seniors Lauren Coletta (Mendon, Mass.) and Kim Powell (Chapel Hill, N.C.) were named to the 2007 ZAG National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad. Holy Cross was also one of the 43 national teams to be recognized for having a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Coletta started in all 19 games during the 2007 season and finished ranked second on the team in assists with five. She was ranked third on the team in interceptions with 53 and tackles with 50. On the season, Coletta recorded one goal and five assists for seven points.

Powell played in every game this season, ranked second in interceptions (60) and tackles (55) tackles on the team, and leading the Crusaders with seven defensive saves. This season, she recorded two goals and three assists, marking her first career goal, assist, and game-winning goal.
