Worcester, Mass. - Holy Cross had 10 field hockey players named to the 2004 NFHCA Division I National Academic Team as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association today. Holy Cross was also listed among 52 other schools in Division I that earned a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Lauren Coletta (Mendon, Mass.), Renee Didonato (Columbus, Ohio), Caitlin Kelly (Woodbridge, Conn.), Cat Kerman (Glens Falls, N.Y.), Sony Kuhn (Cincinnati, Ohio), Caitlin Moynihan (Rye, N.Y.), Laura Potts (Windham, N.H.), Meg Ryan (Lake Forest, Ill.), Tara Welch (New Boston, N.H.) and Christina Zorzi (Barre, Vt.) were all recognized for their academic achievements during the Fall season.
Holy Cross also placed 11 players on this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, including Kuhn, who was one of only two players in the league who earned a perfect 4.00 gpa during the field hockey season.
The Crusaders finished the 2004 season with an 11-8-0 overall record and a third place finish (3-2 Patriot League) in the Patriot League.
