Eleven Holy Cross field hockey players were named to the 2004 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by League officials on Monday. Crusader goalkeeper Sony Kuhn (Cincinnati, Ohio) was one of only two players in the league who earned a perfect 4.00 gpa during the Fall semester. Seventy-six players across the league were selected.

Kuhn was a Second Team All-League selection this year, leading the league in both shuouts (8) and shutouts per game (0.42). The junior goalie was also ranked second in the League in goals against average (1.47), and fourth in both saves (126) and saves per game (6.63). Nationally, Kuhn finished seventh in save percentage (0.818) and was ranked 19th in saves with 126.

Also named to the All-Academic squad was senior Cat Kerman (Glens Falls, N.Y.), the 2004 Patriot League Co-Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-League selection. In addition, First Team selection Caitlin Moynihan (Rye, N.Y.) and Second Team pick Tara Welch (New Boston, N.H.) also earned academic accolades with a 3.68 and a 3.77 gpa, respectively.

Seniors Christina Zorzi (Barre, VT) and Torrey Shillieto (West Brookfield, Mass.), junior Renee Didonato (Columbus, Ohio), sophomores Caitlin Kelly (Woodbridge, Conn.), Meg Ryan (Lake Forest, Ill.), and Christina Sweeney (Richmond, Va.), and freshman Lauren Coletta (Mendon, Mass.) all represented Holy Cross on the League Academic Honor Roll.
