BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sara O'Coin (Worcester, Mass.) had a goal and an assist while Eli Skovron (Exeter, N.H.), Carolyn Connelly (Greenland, N.H.) and Courtney Callahan (Acton, Mass.) each had a goal to shutout Lehigh, 4-0 in Patriot League action Saturday at the Ulrich Sports Complex.
Junior Skovron scored early in the game at 1:04 unassisted for her fourth goal of the year. Junior Connelly didn't waist any time scoring the next goal for the Crusaders 15 seconds later assisted by O'Coin. This was O'Coin's ninth assist of the year, tying the fifth season-high record for Holy Cross.
The Crusaders went into the second half with a 2-0 lead. Junior O'Coin scored the third goal of the game at 43:30 for her 10th goal of the season. She now leads the Crusaders with 29 points.
Freshman Callahan scored her first collegiate goal unassisted with less than 10 minutes left in the game.
Sophomore goalkeeper, Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) had seven saves for the Crusaders and recorded her fifth shutout of the season. Holy Cross out shot Lehigh, 15-9.
With the win, Holy Cross has gone undefeated for the past month, not losing a game since Sept. 10. The Crusaders improve to 11-3 overall and 3-0 in the conference as Lehigh falls to 4-9 on the season and 1-2 overall.
The Crusaders are back in action Saturday at 12:00 p.m. when they host Bucknell in Patriot League play.
