HAMILTON, N.Y. - Carolyn Connelly (Greenland, N.H.) and Katie Rowlenson (Webster, N.H.) each scored their second goal of the season as the Holy Cross Field Hockey team shutout Colgate, 2-0, in Patriot League action Saturday at Tyler's Field.
Holy Cross' two goals in the first half proved to be enough for the win as the Crusaders defense limited Colgate to just three shots while Holy Cross totaled 18.
Goalkeeper Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) had two saves for the Crusaders and recorded her fourth shutout of the year.
Holy Cross improves to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference and ties the school record for the most consecutive wins in a season with its seventh straight win today. Colgate drops to 2-9 on the season and 0-2 in league play.
The Crusaders are back on the road to play Dartmouth Monday at 5:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
