Worcester, Mass. - Boston College got a pair of goals from Crystal Frates to lead the #11 ranked Eagles to a 3-1 victory over Holy Cross Sunday afternoon. Holy Cross falls to 2-1 on the season while Boston College improves to 2-1.
The Eagles started the scoring with an unassisted goal by Frates with 9:50 remaining in the first half. Holy Cross returned the favor 2:38 later with an unassisted goal from junior Sara O'Coin.
BC's Caitlin Gillen scored 1:26 into the second half giving the Eagles a lead they would never give up. Frates added the insurance goal 55 seconds later to give BC the 3-1 advantage.
The Crusaders will host Providence Wednesday, September 6 at 7:00 pm.
