WORCESTER, Mass. – Eleven members of the Holy Cross field hockey team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Headlining the Crusaders was senior Lindsay MacPhail (Goffstown, N.H.) who was named to the Academic Honor Roll for the fourth consecutive season. American led all of the schools with 18 honorees, while Bucknell was second with 14 members.
Senior Jess Dodakian (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and junior Molly Feit (Acton, Mass.) were named to the Honor Roll for the third time in their careers, while fourth-year player Carly Grimaudo (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and sophomores Michelle McNeil (Canton, Mass.) and Kaitlyn Murray (Farmington, Conn.) earned the laurel for the second time.
First-time selections to the Academic Honor Roll were freshmen Rae Caliento (Ramsey, N.J.), Audra Kinney (Louisville, Ky.), Maya Langman (Crozet, Va.), Kat Nutting (Ashburnham, Mass.) and Gabriella Smith (Mendham, N.J.).
A total of 87 student-athletes from the field hockey teams across the Patriot League were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, the student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average during the 2013 fall semester.
