Before leaving Holy Cross for the summer, senior field hockey player Kelly Burke (Walpole, Mass.) sat down with GoHolyCross.com to share the ways she stays in shape and connects with the team over the summer, as well as her expectations for the upcoming season as a senior captain. Burke will lead the team in the captain position for the second year in a row this fall. Since her freshman year, Burke has played in 52 games and started in 50, including making starts in all 17 games last season as a junior. This past season Burke also scored her first collegiate goal, for two points, in a game against Dartmouth (9/23). Heading into her senior year, she has one goal and one assist, for a total of three points. Burke is also a member of the Holy Cross Leadership Academy and was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as a freshman. Thus far, Burke has made a huge impact on the team both on and off the field and looks to do the same as a senior closing out her collegiate field hockey career.
