WORCESTER, Mass. - On Saturday, Oct. 6, the Holy Cross field hockey program will host its third-annual "Think Pink Day" at the Hart Turf Field during its Patriot League contest against Bucknell at 1:00 p.m. The team will be donning special pink socks and shoe laces during the game for breast cancer awareness. The field hockey team encourages all attendees to wear pink.
Donations will be accepted at the game for PINK Revolution, which is an alliance of dedicated individuals with a unified commitment to those touched by breast cancer. Its mission is to support early detection and prevention strategies, fund clinical research advancements and promote survivorship programs in Central Mass. through its affiliation with the UMass Memorial Comprehensive Breast Center.
The event is a part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, happening all over the country.
