Crusaders Prepare To Open Patriot League Play At Lehigh

  • The Holy Cross field hockey team is scheduled to play only one game this week. The Crusaders will open up Patriot League play when they travel to Lehigh for an 11:00 a.m. contest on Saturday, Sept. 29.
  • The Crusaders dropped a pair of contests last week, and now stand 1-8 overall on the year. Holy Cross began the week by suffering a 4-0 loss at Fairfield, before it was downed by Dartmouth 8-1 to close out the week.
  • Junior defender Kelly Burke (Walpole, Mass.) scored the first goal of her collegiate career during the Dartmouth game. She has now played in 44 games during her time at Holy Cross, starting 42 times and totaling three points on one goal and one assist.
  • Sophomore forward Molly Feit (Acton, Mass.) and junior midfielder Lindsay MacPhail (Goffstown, N.H.) both had assists on Burke's goal against Dartmouth. Feit now has three points on one goal and one assist this season, while MacPhail has totaled three points on three assists over the course of her Holy Cross career.
