Crusaders Set To Take On Fairfield & Dartmouth

- The Holy Cross field hockey team hits the road on Thursday, Sept. 20, for a 4:00 p.m. contest at Fairfield. The Crusaders will then return home to take on Dartmouth at the Hart Turf Field on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 2:00 p.m.
- The Crusaders dropped a pair of contests last week, and now stand 1-6 overall on the year. Holy Cross began the week by suffering a narrow 3-2 loss against Providence, after holding a 2-0 lead in the first half. The Crusaders were then downed by No. 23 Maine 6-0 to close out the week.
- Junior forward Carly Grimaudo (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) is currently leading the team in scoring with nine points on four goals and one assist. During the Providence game, she tallied both of the team's goals in the first half, as Holy Cross built an early 2-0 lead. Grimaudo had previously scored against both Siena and New Hampshire, giving her at least one goal in three straight games. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has now totaled 14 points on six goals and two assists.
- Senior midfielder Megan Bourne (Lake Forest, Ill.) picked up her first assist of the season during last week's game against Providence. She now ranks second on the team in scoring this season with five points on two goals and one assist. During her four-year career with the Crusaders, Bourne has now totaled four goals and two assists for 10 points.
