WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior forward Carly Grimaudo (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from September 3-9. Grimaudo totaled two goals and one assist last week, while helping to lead the Holy Cross field hockey team to a 1-1 record in two games.
During Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Siena, Grimaudo scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at the 19:33-mark. She then tallied a goal and an assist in Sunday's 8-3 loss to 24th-ranked New Hampshire. Grimaudo's goal against the Wildcats came in the first half, and tied the score at 1-1.
On the season, Grimaudo leads the team in scoring with five points on two goals and one assist. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has not totaled four goals and two assists for 10 points in 32 games played.
The Crusaders return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 11, when they play host to Providence at 7:00 p.m., in a game which will be shown live on Crusader Vision.
