Lindsay MacPhail Named Preseason All-Patriot League

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross junior field hockey player Lindsay MacPhail (Goffstown, N.H.) has been named preseason All-Patriot League as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league.

The Patriot League also announced its field hockey preseason poll as American was picked to finish first as it tallied 47 points and seven first-place votes. Defending Patriot League Tournament champion Lafayette placed second with 45 points and five first-place votes. Bucknell (33 points) was picked third and was followed by Lehigh (24 points), Colgate (19 points) and Holy Cross (12 points).

The Crusaders kick off the season on Friday, Aug. 24 when it hosts Quinnipiac at the Hart Turf Field at 11:00 a.m.
