Schedule: Sunday, Sept. 13 vs. Dartmouth, Worcester, Mass., 2:00 p.m.

  • The Holy Cross field hockey team takes on Dartmouth (0-1) on Sunday, Sept. 13 in this week's action. Dartmouth also plays Providence on Friday, Sept. 11 before traveling to Worcester, Mass. Game time is slated for 2:00 p.m. at the Hart Turf Field. Last year, Holy Cross won on the road by a score of 3-2 against the Big Green. Senior team captain Courtney Callahan (Acton, Mass.) recorded a goal and an assist.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 12 the team will host its Alumni Game beginning at 11:00 a.m. This is the first year the team is hosting it in the fall, with over 15 former players coming to participate.
  • Callahan scored the team's single goal in the 4-1 loss to the Huskies on Thursday. Callahan scored twice for the Crusaders in the 6-2 loss at Boston College, giving her three goals and six points on the young season. All three goals came against ranked opponents, a feat Callahan has never reached while at Holy Cross. She is also well on her way to topping career bests in both goals and assists, as she finished last season with four goals and two assists.
  • Junior Alanna Sikorski (Glen Gardner, N.J.) scored her first goal of the season, tallying four shots in the 4-1 loss to Harvard. Her four shots ties her 2008 season-high. Sikorski also looks to continue her luck against Dartmouth, as she tallied three shots and two assists in the game last year.
