Kaitlin Foley Named Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior center Kaitlin Foley (Albany, N.Y.) has been named the Holiday Inn Express Crusader of the Week, for competition from December 11-17. On Sunday, Foley led the Holy Cross women's basketball team to a 61-54 victory at Rhode Island in its only game of the week.

Against the Rams, Foley led the team in scoring with 16 points on seven of 10 shooting from the field. She scored 11 of her 16 points in the second half, as the Crusaders rallied from a 30-25 halftime deficit to claim the victory. In addition to her scoring, Foley totaled three rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal against Rhode Island.

On the season, Foley now leads the team in scoring with an average of 13.2 points per game, while hitting 49.5 percent of her field goal attempts (51 of 103) and 87.8 percent of her free throws (43 of 49). Over the course of her Holy Cross career, she has totaled 781 points, 337 rebounds and 60 blocked shots.

The Crusaders return to action on Thursday, Dec. 28, when they play at San Diego in the opening round of the Surf N Slam Tournament.
