WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's basketball team has received the No. 16 seed in the Greensboro Regional of the 2007 NCAA Tournament. The Crusaders will play a first round game against No. 1 seed Duke in Raleigh, N.C., on Sunday, March 18. The Holy Cross-Duke contest is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
A limited number of tickets are available to Holy Cross alumni, season ticket holders, or students, through the Holy Cross Ticket Office. Tickets are $16.00 for adults and $11.00 for students, and will be for the two-game session in which the Crusaders play on Sunday. Tickets may be purchased at the Holy Cross Ticket Office in the Fieldhouse (10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.), or by calling (508) 793-2573.
Holy Cross enters the NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 15-17 on the season. The Crusaders won the Patriot League Tournament title for the 11th time in school history, after placing third in the conference regular season standings with a 7-7 mark in league games.
Duke stands 30-1 overall, and won the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season championship with a perfect 14-0 record.
