WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman Bethany O'Dell (Lincoln, R.I.) has been named the Baden Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the fifth time while seniors Kaitlin Foley (Albany, N.Y.) and Brittany Keil (Sparta, N.J.) and freshman Briana McFadden (Wheaton, Md.) were also recognized for their performances last week. The Crusaders went 2-0 last week with league wins over Navy and American.
O'Dell matched her career-high with 24 points against Navy and pulled down a career-best seven boards. The freshman from the Ocean State drained six baskets from long range and went 4-for-4 from the line in the win over the Mids. Against American, she scored 14 points, including 12 from beyond the arc. For the week the rookie Crusader shot 46.2% from the field and 50.0% from long range, averaging 19.0 points per game.
Foley recorded a double-double versus American scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 boards and had 15 points versus Navy. Keil had 15 points, eight rebounds and two assists in the win over Navy. McFadden combined for 25 points last week and dished out a career-high seven assists against Navy.
Holy Cross (11-16 overall and 6-6 in the league) will play its last regular season home game Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against Colgate.
