Bethany O'Dell Named Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore guard Bethany O'Dell (Lincoln, R.I.) has been named the Crusader of the Week, for competition from December 24-30. O'Dell led the Holy Cross women's basketball team to a 1-1 record and a third place finish at the State Farm Classic last weekend.

In the opening game of the State Farm Classic, a 66-52 loss to host Florida on Friday night, O'Dell led Holy Cross with 12 points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal. Then, in a 79-60 victory over North Carolina-Asheville in the consolation game on Saturday, she totaled 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

On the season, O'Dell is now averaging 11.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game, while making 36.5 percent (27 of 74) of her three-point attempts. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, she has totaled 533 points, 174 rebounds, 96 assists and 55 steals.

The Crusaders (5-7 overall) return to action on Wednesday, January 2, when they travel to St. Peter's for a 7:00 p.m. game.
