WORCESTER, Mass. - The women's basketball team will host its third annual "Get Fit with the Crusaders Day" against Quinnipiac on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hart Center.
More than 1,000 Worcester public school students will be in attendance to cheer on the Crusaders and to learn about nutrition and physical activity. Holy Cross faculty and staff are invited to attend free of charge.
"This is a great opportunity for local elementary and middle school students to see Holy Cross and the student-athletes compete," associate head coach Ann McInerney said. "They also get a chance to learn about physical activity and eating healthy."
The students will watch the Crusaders take on the Bobcats and then at halftime Holy Cross head strength and conditioning coach Jeff Oliver and dietitian Kathy Egan will give a presentation about eating right and exercising.
The Crusaders (6-1) are off to their best start since the 1982-1983 season, where they were also 6-1 to begin the campaign.
