WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior forward Amy Lepley (Norfolk, Mass.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from December 26-January 1. Lepley averaged 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in two games last week, as the Holy Cross women's basketball team posted a 1-1 record at the Miami Holiday Classic.
During Wednesday night's 89-49 loss to Miami (Fla.), Lepley totaled nine points and four rebounds. Then in Thursday's 73-66 overtime victory over Morgan State, she posted her first double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Over the course of the two games, she hit 54.5 percent (12 of 22) of her shots from the field.
On the season, Lepley is now averaging 12.8 points and a team-best 5.3 rebounds per game, while hitting 51.5 percent (69 of 134) of her shots from the floor. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has totaled 663 points, 362 rebounds and 136 assists, and made 44.3 percent (262 of 591) of her field goal attempts.
Holy Cross returns to action with a 7:00 pm. game against Dartmouth on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
