WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's basketball team held its annual basketball game against the Mercy Centre on Tuesday, Jan. 11. This year's game marks the 19th consecutive time the two teams have competed against each other.
The women's basketball team has a strong tie with the Mercy Centre, who provides comprehensive educational and employment training opportunities for people with developmental disabilities, mental retardation, sensory impairments, and/or physical challenges combined with attentional, communication, motor, medical and behavioral involvement. The annual basketball game is just one of the many activities Holy Cross head coach Bill Gibbons and the rest of the women's basketball team provides for the Centre.
