WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior guard Bethany O'Dell (Lincoln, R.I.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 23-29. O'Dell helped lead the Holy Cross women's basketball team to a 1-2 record last week, with a second place finish at the Maine Dead River Classic.
During Tuesday's 90-57 loss at Boston College, O'Dell led the Crusaders with 13 points and three rebounds. Then in Friday's 61-59 victory over Maine in the opening round of the Dead River Classic, she totaled 17 points, five assists, five steals and three rebounds. O'Dell concluded the week with 19 points and four assists in a 52-48 loss to Penn State in the Dead River Classic championship game.
On the week, O'Dell averaged 16.3 points, 3.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game, while being selected to the Dead River Classic All-Tournament Team.
Overall this season, she has averaged 13.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, O'Dell has scored 1,201 points, and holds the all-time school records 233 three-point field goals made 594 three-points field goal attempts.
Holy Cross (3-4 overall, 5-0 ECAC East) returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 2, when it travels to Harvard for a 6:00 p.m. game.
