Men's Cross Country Places Fourteen On Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

WORCESTER, Mass. - Fourteen members of the Holy Cross men's cross country team have been selected to the 2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, announced today by the league office. The Patriot League named 60 men's cross country student-athletes to the 2008 honor roll and Holy Cross placed 14 student-athletes on the honor roll, the most out of any Patriot League institution. Senior Brad Mish (Hadley, Mass.) earns this honor for the fourth time in his career, while seniors Kevin Lucid (New Providence, N.J.) and James Lundy (Katonah, N.Y.) each receive the honor for the third time.
Junior Garrett Huddy (Columbus, Ohio) and junior Kyle Rougeot were named to the honor roll for the third time in their careers, while sophomore Chris Bergan (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and sophomore Patrick Grogan (Hudson, Mass.) earn the honor for the second time. Earning this honor for the first time is sophomore Joe Ballway (Boxford, Mass.), freshman Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.), freshman Ben Brink (New Rochelle, N.Y.), freshman Alex Dobens (Kansas City, Mo.), freshman Jack Heinrich (Tulsa, Okla.) and freshman Cory Loftis (Branford, Conn.).
To be eligible for this award, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
