Durham, N.H. - The Holy Cross men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2004 Wildcat Inviational on Saturday, Sept. 11, finishing ninth and 10th, repectively.
Seniors Kathryn Thornton (Burbank, Calif.) and Elizabeth Desmond (Portland, Maine) led the Crusaders. Thornton placed 26th with a time of 19:16.79 in the 5K race, while Desmond finished 27th shortly after at 19:18.30. Senior Erin Moseley (Carlisle, Mass.) rounded out the top 35 with a time of 19:25.12.
The Crusaders top finisher for the men's team was Stephen Kress (Portland, Maine) , who finished with a time of 27:21.33 for the 52nd spot. Timothy Murphy (Wayne, N.J.) and James Clifford (Haworth, N.J.) finished No. 56 and 57 with times of 27:28.67 and 27:29.11.
Overall the women's team finished with 228 points for 10th place, while the men came in ninth with 233 points.
The Crusaders travel to Notre Dame, Ind. for the National Catholic Conference on Friday, Sept. 17.
