Cross Country Teams Take Part In UMass Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's and women's cross country teams both took part in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday morning. The Crusader women finished in eighth place out of 41 schools, while the men came in 16th out of 38 schools.

Sophomore Jacqueline Imse (Simsbury, Conn.) led the women by finishing in 18th place with a time of 18:57. Sophomore Margaret Molloy (West Hartford, Conn.) followed in 36th place with a time of 19:24, while freshman Katie Andree (Colts Neck, N.J.) came in 51st in a time of 19:33.

On the men's side, freshman Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) led Holy Cross with a 51st place finish in a time of 26:18. Sophomore Chris Bergan (Shrewsbury, Mass.) followed in 82nd place with a time of 26:46, and freshman Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.) claimed 101st place in a time of 27:12.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they take part in the Murray Keatinge Invitational in Orono, Maine.
