BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Holy Cross men's cross country team finished 12th of 46 teams in the Men's Brown 8K race at the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday morning. The Crusaders finished with 419 points as sophomore Dennis Muldoon (Weymouth, Mass.) led the team across the finish line, taking 24th place of 372 runners with a time of 25:59.
Other top finishers for the Crusaders included junior John Cicchitti (Warminster, Pa.) who finished just behind Muldoon in 27th place with a time of 26:01 and senior Dylan Villescas (Las Cruces, N.M.) who took 38th with a time of 26:14.
Senior Nick Petsky (Garden City, N.Y.) crossed the finish line in 139th (27:24), sophomore Francesco Tejidor (Coral Gables, Fla.) took 191st (27:56), freshman John Bentivegna (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished 197th (28:02) and freshman Patrick Franco (Winchester, Mass.) rounded out the Crusader participants, taking 227th at 28:26.
The men's cross country team will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the New England Championship at 11:00 a.m.
