WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., and cross country program director Jim Kavanagh have announced the schedule for the 2013 men's and women's seasons. The Crusaders will compete in nine events with qualifying runners advancing to regional championships.
The Crusaders will open the 2013 season on Aug. 31 at New Hampshire with Providence before heading to Bryant for the Nassaney Invitational on Sept. 7. The teams will split up on the weekend of Sept. 20-21 with select men's and women's runners traveling to the National Catholic Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame, on Sept. 20. Others will compete at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 21. The Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh will follow at Oct. 5, then the Crusaders will travel to the New England Championship (Oct. 12), the Leopard Invitational hosted by Lafayette (Oct. 19) and the Central Connecticut Mini Meet (Oct. 25). The teams will then race at the Patriot League Championship, hosted by Lafayette, on Nov. 2. Qualifying runners will advance to the NCAA Northeast Regional (Nov. 15) and ECAC/IC4A Championship (Nov. 23), both held in Bronx, N.Y.
