Men's Cross Country Prepares For Patriot League Championship
Scoreboard: 21st of 37, New England Championship, Westfield, Mass., 10/7

- The Holy Cross men's cross country team will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Patriot League Championship, hosted by Colgate, at 11:00 a.m.
- Last season, the Crusaders finished in eighth place. Graduates Cory Loftis and Dan Altenau were the top finishers for the Crusaders with times of 26:16.80 and 26:23.70, respectively. Navy won the team championship with 38 points and Colgate's Christopher Johnson took the individual title with a time of 24:53.90 on the 8k course.
- The Crusaders competed on the Colgate cross country course earlier this season at the Harry Lang Invitational. Sophomore John Cicchitti (Warminster, Pa.) was the top team finisher, taking 28th place with a time of 21:13.0.
- Holy Cross is coming off a 21st place finish at the New England Championship. Cicchitti finished 21st overall out of 261 runners to earn the Patriot League Runner of the Week (Oct. 1-7) award. It was the first career Runner of the Week award for Cicchitti. Freshman Dennis Muldoon (Weymouth, Mass.) was also named Patriot League Rookie of the Week (Oct. 1-7) for the first time, finishing 118th of 261 with a career best time of 26:06.17 in the 8K race. It was the first time any Crusader runners have been honored by the league since the 2010 season.
