Men's Cross Country Heads To New England Championships This Weekend

Schedule: Saturday, Oct. 8 at New England Championship, Boston, Mass., 11:00 a.m. 

  • The Holy Cross men's cross country team opens up the championship portion of its season at the New England Championship on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. At the 2010 Championship, Dartmouth took home the team title, while AIC's Glarius Rop won the individual title.
  • At the New England Championship last season, senior Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) led Holy Cross with a 28th place finish in a time of 25:21. Holy Cross finished 25th of 47 teams overall at the race.
  • Altenau led the charge this past weekend at the Paul Short Invitational with a 37th place finish in the 8k Brown race with a time of 26:24. Overall, the Crusaders finished 17th of the 46 teams in the race. Holy Cross will race the same course on Oct. 29 at the Patriot League Championship.
