Men’s Cross Country Finishes 25th At New England Championship

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) placed 28th to lead the Holy Cross men's cross country team to a 25th place finish at the New England Championship in Boston, Mass. Saturday afternoon. Dartmouth took first out of 47 teams in the men's competition, while AIC's Glarius Rop repeated as champion with a time of 24:08.

Altenau led the Crusaders with a time of 25:21, while senior Chris Bergan (Shrewsbury, Mass.) followed Altenau with a 116th place finish and time of 26:18. Senior Brendan Medeiros (Fall River, Mass.) was the third Crusader to cross the line, finishing 124th with a time of 26:21, sophomore Kyle Shepard (White Plains, N.Y.) finished 141st with a time of 26:29 and sophomore Dylan Leazes (Providence, R.I.) finished 189th with a time of 27:00.

Holy Cross will continue competition next week, Oct. 16, at the Leopard Invitational hosted by Lafayette in Easton, Pa.
