Holy Cross Men’s Cross Country Falls At Maine

ORONO, Maine. – Junior Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) finished second as the Holy Cross men's cross country team raced at Maine Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders fell to the Black Bears 38-19 in their first dual meet competition of the season.

Altenau finished second with a time of 25:36 to lead the Crusaders. Senior Chris Bergan (Shrewsbury, Mass.) was the second Crusader to cross the line, finishing seventh with a time of 25:35. Sophomore Kyle Shepard (White Plains, N.Y.) followed Bergan with an eighth place finish and time of 26:38. Senior Brendan Medeiros (Fall River, Mass.) finished 10th with time of 27:14 and sophomore Dylan Leazes (Providence, R.I.) finished 11th with a time of 27:27.

Holy Cross continues action on Oct. 9 at the New England Championship in Boston, Mass. Race time is set for 12:00 p.m.
