Holy Cross Set To Head North To Maine

Scoreboard: No scheduled competition
Schedule: Saturday, Oct. 2 vs. Maine, Orono, Maine, 10:00 a.m.

  • The Holy Cross men's cross country team returns to action at Maine on Saturday, Oct. 2. The Crusaders will compete in their only dual meet race of the season, racing against Maine at 10:00 a.m.
  • Typically the Crusaders compete at the Murray Keatinge Invitational hosted by Maine, but a change in format made this year's race a dual meet. A year ago, Holy Cross finished second out of six teams at the Murray Keatinge Invitational, while Maine finished third.
  • Former Crusader Tim Richard led Holy Cross a year ago with a fifth place finish with a time of 25:23.97, while junior Cory Loftis (Branford, Conn.) finished in seventh place with a time of 25:36.73.
  • The Crusaders will use the meet against Maine to prepare for the championship portion of their schedule. On Oct. 9, they will compete at the New England Championship and on Oct. 30 they will race at the Patriot League Championship.
