- After a week off, the Holy Cross men's cross country team resumes its season at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Van Cortland Park in Bronx, N.Y. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. It was the third time the Crusaders had a weekend off from competition this fall.
- Holy Cross is coming off a sixth-place finish at the Patriot League Championship on Oct. 31 in Hamilton, N.Y. The Crusaders were also selected sixth in the conference's preseason poll. A pair of sophomores took the lead for Holy Cross in that meet, as Cory Loftis (Branford, Conn.) and Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) were the first two Crusaders across the line. Loftis finished 22nd with a time of 27:11.2, while Altenau took 26th in 27:20.4.
- Holy Cross has seen some of its younger runners come of age during the season. At the Patriot League Championship, freshman Kyle Shepard (White Plains, N.Y.) stepped up as the fourth Crusader finisher, taking 54th overall in a time of 28:28.5.
- The Crusaders finished 26th of 33 teams in last year's NCAA Northeast Regional, also held in Bronx, N.Y. Senior co-captain Kyle Rougeot (Torrington, Conn.) was the top finisher last year, but he will miss the competition this year due to injury. Senior co-captain Tim Richard (Attleboro, Mass.), Loftis and Altenau also finished in the top five for Holy Cross.
